Job Description

Hobbs Brook Real Estate LLC is a renowned leader in the commercial real estate industry, known for its innovative approach and commitment to sustainability. Established in 1952, Hobbs Brook Real Estate has developed a strong portfolio that spans the United States and Singapore, focusing on forward-thinking and environmentally responsible properties. As the real estate division of FM, HBRE plays a vital role in acquiring, developing, managing, and partnering with diverse stakeholders to bring unique property visions to life while positively impacting the environment and the community. The company values innovation, sustainability, and a collaborative approach to real estate management, making it a trusted name in the industry.

The role is based at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center located in Norwood, MA. This property is a prime hospitality environment under the ownership of Hobbs Brook Real Estate LLC. The hotel offers 230 modern and smoke-free guestrooms, including allergy-friendly rooms, complemented by complimentary Wi-Fi, parking, and access to fitness and indoor pool facilities. With extensive meeting and event spaces—28 meeting rooms and 40,000 square feet for various sized events—the hotel is a favored venue for conferences, social gatherings, and business functions. Dining options include One Bistro and a daily breakfast buffet at Zachariah's, ensuring high-quality culinary experiences for guests.

This position provides an exceptional opportunity to join an award-winning hotel known for its high-energy, collaborative, and supportive work culture where employee contributions are highly valued, and professional growth is actively encouraged. The successful candidate will enjoy the dynamic interaction with guests and a chance to contribute to a hospitality environment that combines operational excellence with guest satisfaction. The position demands flexible scheduling with open availability, including early morning starts and late evening shifts, and weekend and holiday coverage, reflecting the hotel’s 24/7 operation. This flexible work schedule aims to meet the diverse needs of the business and guests.

The primary responsibility is to deliver courteous and efficient table service in the dining rooms. This includes welcoming guests, accurately taking and serving orders with proper techniques, and ensuring prompt delivery and removal of courses. The role requires setting dining tables with the correct linens, china, and silverware before service, performing essential side work such as napkin folding and supply organization, and maintaining adherence to state and local sanitation regulations. The Wait Staff also manages the point-of-sale system for food and beverage charges, ensuring accuracy and balancing sales at shift end.

The job demands a positive and professional demeanor to create a welcoming atmosphere, showcasing excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to manage difficult customer situations tactfully. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 10 pounds. Applicants should possess at least one year of high-end restaurant wait staff experience, with two years preferred, and must have a high school diploma or GED. The starting pay is $8.15 per hour, plus tips, with guaranteed minimum wages in compliance with Massachusetts law. Employees benefit from Marriott discounts at participating hotels upon completing required training.

Joining Hobbs Brook Real Estate LLC and the Four Points by Sheraton Norwood Hotel offers not only a role in a reputable and environmentally conscious company but also an opportunity to thrive in a vibrant, guest-focused hospitality setting that values diversity and professional development.
