Job Description
JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa, located in Scottsdale, Arizona, is a prestigious luxury resort that is part of Marriott International's esteemed luxury portfolio. With over 100 beautiful properties in gateway cities and distinctive resort locations worldwide, JW Marriott is dedicated to delivering exceptional hospitality experiences that reflect the brand's legacy founded by J. Willard Marriott. The resort prides itself on fostering a supportive community among its diverse associates and emphasizes training, development, and holistic well-being. Known for its warm, genuine service, JW Marriott creates an encouraging work environment where associates feel valued and can pursue their passions in a luxury setting. This commitment to associate satisfaction translates directly into memorable guest experiences, encapsulated in the brand promise of "Wonderful Hospitality. Always." JW Marriott associates are confident, innovative, and intuitive, continuously upholding the high standards and legacy of the company founder.
The Bartending position at JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa is a part-time, non-management role designed for individuals passionate about delivering excellent guest service while creating unforgettable experiences. This role is located on-site, ensuring candidates engage closely with guests and contribute significantly to the atmosphere and service quality. Bartenders at JW Marriott do more than just mix drinks – they help cultivate the overall guest experience through their attentiveness, professionalism, and initiative. Working as a Guest Service Expert, the Bartender interacts dynamically with guests, preparing and serving beverages while maintaining cleanliness and organized workspaces.
This role requires the ability to stand and move for extended periods and a hands-on approach to operational tasks such as lifting, carrying, and managing supplies. Bartenders are essential in setting a tone of hospitality by following company policies, upholding quality standards, and ensuring professional appearance and communication. The job also involves responsibilities like table setting, engaging with the kitchen, handling transactions seamlessly, and supporting upholding safety protocols. The role values candidates with a high school diploma or GED, and while less than one year of related experience is preferred, the attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional service are paramount.
JW Marriott fosters an inclusive work environment, dedicated to equal opportunity without discrimination based on disability, veteran status, or other protected categories. The company nurtures a rich blend of culture and talents, celebrating the unique backgrounds of its associates and encouraging growth within an inspiring global team. By joining the JW Marriott family, bartenders become part of a globally recognized hospitality leader where they can grow, excel, and become the best version of themselves.
