Job Requirements

must have a high school diploma or equivalent
prior experience in hospitality or bar service preferred
ability to communicate clearly with guests
basic mathematical skills
manual dexterity in hands
ability to stand and work for extended periods
ability to use point of sale systems
ability to work under state and federal alcohol service regulations
willingness to comply with attendance and work schedule

Job Qualifications

hotel experience preferred
effective communication skills with guests
basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
basic mathematical skills for cash handling and portion sizing
manual dexterity to use a knife, handle glassware and bottles, scoop ice, and retrieve stock
ability to memorize and promote menu items
ability to operate a keyboard and point of sale system
ability to stand and work in confined spaces for extended periods
ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with associates, customers and patrons
effective verbal and written communication skills
adaptable communication style

Job Duties

maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis
requisitions and stocks beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce
maintains stock, cuts, and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables daily
greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner
mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks using standard recipes and portion control
abides by all state, federal and corporate regulations regarding alcoholic beverage service
inputs orders into register and creates checks for guests
receives and processes cash payments, verifies charges, records charges, and ensures vouchers are executed
locks and stores all beverage, food, and equipment items and secures cash and bank deposits
complies with attendance rules and works regularly
performs other job-related duties as assigned
