Job Description

TMC Hospitality was founded in 2016 by Philip Bates as an innovative branch of the TMC Group, aiming to revolutionize the hospitality industry through purposeful disruption. As a progressive hotel development and management company, TMC Hospitality is dedicated to transforming hospitality from a mere service into a unique and memorable experience. The corporation operates two distinct hotel brands, Bode and Drift, alongside the Buttonwood Farm & Winery, each catering to the concept of social group travel and tailored experiences. Bode, situated in Nashville, challenges traditional travel norms by offering flexible spaces that combine the aesthetic and comfort of vacation rental homes with the refined amenities of boutique hotels. On the other hand, Drift, which boasts locations in San Jose del Cabo, Santa Barbara, Palm Springs, and Nashville, presents a modern hotel concept designed for independent and group travelers who prioritize adventure and cultural immersion. Drift’s establishments feature minimalist yet thoughtfully intentional details and amenities that appeal to this demographic.

Dusk Bar, located within the picturesque Drift Santa Barbara, is an inviting venue where hospitality meets artistry, embedded within a beautifully designed space facing the vibrant State Street. This establishment is currently seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate bartender who is passionate about creating exceptional hospitality experiences. Bartenders at Dusk Bar serve guests from a meticulously curated raw bar menu, complemented by light bites and expertly crafted cocktails. The service style embraced here is elevated casual, emphasizing both style and warmth, with meticulous attention to every guest interaction point.

The role of a bartender at Dusk Bar is multifaceted, encompassing not only the preparation and serving of drinks but also playing a pivotal role in enhancing the overall guest experience. Bartenders are responsible for managing drink orders to ensure customer satisfaction throughout meals and social interactions. They are expected to possess extensive knowledge of craft cocktail preparation alongside common drink recipes to successfully recommend beverages tailored to customer preferences. The bartenders at Dusk Bar pour beers, properly decant wines, and mix cocktails adhering strictly to menu specifications. Furthermore, they engage and entertain patrons seated at the bar by providing stimulating conversation and delivering exemplary customer service. A critical part of the role involves ensuring that all customers meet the legal drinking age before serving alcoholic beverages.

Bartenders are also tasked with administrative duties such as processing payments, maintaining tabs, cleaning bar utensils, balancing receipts, and preparing daily financial reports. Building strong relationships with regular customers to foster a welcoming and positive atmosphere is equally important. Ultimately, bartenders at Dusk Bar are key contributors to a seamless and enjoyable hospitality experience, embodying the company’s mission to elevate service into a true experience that guests will cherish and want to revisit.
