This part-time, non-management position is located in Honolulu, Hawaii, at a prestigious Luxury Collection property. The role of the bartender is vital in delivering an exceptional guest experience through the preparation and service of beverages. The bartender is responsible for crafting drink orders according to specified recipes and measuring systems, ensuring accuracy and quality with each glass served. Duties include opening and serving wine and champagne, setting up and maintaining the cleanliness of the bar, tables, and related tools, as well as preparing fresh garnishes to enhance the presentation of drinks. Additionally, the bartender is required to stock necessary inventory such as ice, glassware, and paper supplies, and to transport materials to the bar setup area efficiently.

The position also involves handling all payment methods with precision, counting the cash bank at the end of the shift, completing cashier reports, resolving discrepancies, and securing the cash bank properly. Security responsibilities include safeguarding liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage spaces. Closing duties must be meticulously completed to maintain the bar area in top condition. Safety and compliance are crucial; bartenders are expected to adhere strictly to all company safety and security policies, report any unsafe conditions or incidents promptly, and participate in required safety training and certifications.

The role demands a professional appearance and demeanor, along with maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets. Establishing positive guest relations through welcoming and acknowledging every guest, anticipating and addressing service needs, and expressing genuine appreciation for patronage is essential. Effective communication, teamwork, and a supportive attitude towards colleagues contribute to a collaborative work environment aimed at achieving quality service standards.

Physically, the job requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods during shifts; lift or carry objects up to 50 pounds; perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination; and move safely over various surfaces and through confined spaces as needed. This dynamic role offers an hourly wage range of $30.31 to $37.89, aligning with the standards for luxury hospitality service in the region.
