Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa is a premier coastal destination offering guests the perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and breathtaking ocean views. This Spanish-inspired resort is recognized for its stunning architecture and exceptional amenities including expansive meeting spaces, indulgent spa treatments, and a variety of enticing dining experiences. Located along the picturesque shores of the Pacific Ocean in Huntington Beach, California, it is a vibrant hub where business meets pleasure. The resort prides itself on delivering superior service in an inviting seaside atmosphere, making every guest’s stay both memorable and rewarding. Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa operates with a core belief in caring for people so they can bring their best selves to work and life. This philosophy shapes a positive and inclusive workplace culture that continuously supports and empowers its colleagues.

The role of Part-Time Barista at Surf City Grocers within Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa offers an exciting opportunity to be part of this dynamic environment. The Barista is responsible for crafting high-quality beverage orders and ensuring that every guest interaction is warm, welcoming, and reflects the resort's dedication to outstanding service. This position requires attentiveness to detail, efficient multitasking in a fast-paced and sometimes confined space, and the ability to work comfortably under outdoor conditions by the beach, including exposure to sun and sand. The Barista will prepare drinks according to established menu standards, maintain cleanliness in their workspace, and create a pleasant environment that enhances guest satisfaction.

Working in this role allows individuals to develop their food and beverage skills, particularly in coffee preparation, and engage directly with guests who come from all over to enjoy the resort’s amenities. Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, is necessary to meet operating needs. Not only does this role offer hands-on experience in a beautiful setting, but it also provides access to a variety of benefits and growth opportunities. Employees benefit from competitive perks like flexible scheduling, eligibility for benefits soon after hire, discounted hotel stays, tuition reimbursement, and access to Hyatt’s extensive learning resources for career advancement.

Hyatt is deeply committed to wellness, diversity, and development, ensuring that its employees feel supported and valued. Health, dental, and vision insurance become available shortly after employment begins, alongside retirement plans including 401(k) and stock purchase options. The culture encourages continuous professional growth and personalized career paths, providing ample opportunities for internal promotion and cross-training across over 700 Hyatt properties across the nation. Lastly, Hyatt fosters inclusion and appreciates the unique perspectives every colleague brings, making it an employer of choice recognized by FORTUNE Magazine for its outstanding workplace environment.
