This position entails preparing and serving coffee, beverages, and food orders efficiently and accurately, ensuring that each guest receives an outstanding experience. Central to this role is the operation of the point-of-sale (POS) system to process orders and payments, which requires attention to detail and a friendly customer service approach. Working as a Barista at HHM Hotels involves a range of duties including bussing coffee cart areas and tables, completing opening and closing duties such as setting up supplies and cleaning equipment, and maintaining work areas to meet hygiene and safety standards.
Employees in this position are expected to adhere strictly to all organizational, state, and federal requirements related to food and alcoholic beverages, reinforcing the company’s commitment to safety and compliance. The Barista role also involves following safety and security policies, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents promptly, and participating in required safety training. The job requires the practice of safe work habits, including the use of protective equipment and adherence to OSHA standards. Additionally, Baristas at HHM Hotels play a part in sustaining the company’s eco-friendly measures by following sustainability guidelines tied to the EarthView initiative.
This role also offers a clear growth trajectory within the hospitality sector, starting as a Barista with the potential to advance to Head Barista, Host or Hostess, and eventually Guest Service Agent, providing valuable career advancement opportunities. HHM Hotels provides competitive wages for both full-time and part-time employees and supports staff with a comprehensive benefits package. With a work environment that encourages teamwork, safety, and continuous learning, this role is ideal for individuals passionate about customer service, coffee culture, and sustainability.
