The role of a Barista at Highgate Hotels involves performing a variety of job duties centered on customer service and beverage preparation. Baristas are responsible for taking orders and making coffee, tea, and other drinks according to customer specifications, while also operating cash registers and credit card machines. The position is hourly and requires standing for the entire shift, with occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying of items up to 40 pounds. Baristas must maintain a warm and friendly demeanor, communicate effectively with guests and associates, multitask, prioritize duties, and contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere.
