The University of Notre Dame is a prestigious and mission-driven institution located in Notre Dame, Indiana, known for its strong commitment to academic excellence, community values, and a deep-rooted Catholic identity. As a renowned university, Notre Dame fosters a diverse and inclusive environment where every employee is valued, supported, and encouraged to grow both professionally and personally. The university prides itself on cultivating a workplace that promotes well-being, collaboration, and meaningful contributions to the campus community and beyond. With a rich tradition of service, scholarship, and innovation, Notre Dame strives to make a significant impact on society through research, education, and community engagement. Working at Notre Dame means becoming part of a vibrant and supportive team dedicated to advancing the university's mission and positively influencing the lives of students, faculty, staff, and the wider community.

The University of Notre Dame’s Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is integral to the success of campus events and hospitality services. The UOES oversees event management, hospitality functions, and customer service provisions, supporting student life, academic projects, research activities, and milestone celebrations held throughout the academic year. Within this dynamic environment, the campus hospitality department is recruiting a part-time Banquet Bartender to join their team. This role offers a flexible part-time employment opportunity with a competitive pay rate of $17.50 per hour plus gratuity, ideal for individuals seeking a role that combines customer service with hospitality in a fast-paced, engaging setting.

As a Banquet Bartender at Notre Dame, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages at a range of events held across the university campus. You will work in various locations and adapt to different types of gatherings, including buffets, served meals, receptions, and other special events. This role requires efficiency in drink preparation, excellent inventory management, and a commitment to providing exceptional hospitality and customer care. In addition to bartending duties, you will assist with event setup and teardown alongside the catering team, ensuring seamless event execution. The position demands strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a professional and respectful manner. Physical endurance is necessary as the role includes standing for extended periods, often up to six hours. Following food safety standards for handling, storing, and serving products is also a critical aspect of the job.

This part-time position offers more than just an hourly wage; it provides an opportunity to be part of a community dedicated to making a meaningful impact. Employees at Notre Dame benefit from a supportive workplace environment that encourages continuous learning, career growth, and engagement within a university known for its Catholic character and commitment to ethical practices. Joining Notre Dame’s hospitality team means contributing to memorable experiences for guests, students, faculty, and visitors who partake in the university’s events, further enriching the Notre Dame experience. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in interactive environments, enjoy customer-focused service, and take pride in being part of a mission-driven institution that values its employees and their contributions.
