The Associate Patient Care Coordinator plays a vital role in this healthcare delivery team. This position is responsible for completing standardized processes and protocols that directly support the organization's vision and mission. As a key point of contact, the coordinator works cooperatively with care teams to ensure exceptional customer service, adherence to Lean processes, and financial and clinical goal achievement. This role is perfect for those who are detail-oriented, compassionate, and equipped to provide administrative support in a healthcare setting. The work involves engaging with patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals through various communication channels including in person, telephone, and video conferencing.
This role requires the precise entry and updating of patient demographics and financial data, securing necessary applications and forms, and ensuring documentation accuracy by scanning or copying as needed. Responsibilities extend to informing patients of their financial obligations, collecting payments, and maintaining daily cash box balances. Collaborative cooperation with departments such as Financial Counseling, Scheduling, Financial Clearance, and clinical units ensures the patient’s encounter is fully prepared. The associate coordinator also provides essential wayfinding assistance and hospital information to patients and visitors.
The schedule for this role is designed to provide coverage during critical service hours with alternating weekly shifts that include evenings, weekends, and holidays in a full-time capacity. A noteworthy sign-on bonus of $2,000 is available for external applicants, reflecting the value placed on attracting skilled professionals to this impactful position.

- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum one year of customer service experience in an office or professional environment
- Beginner proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work designated schedule shifts including evenings, weekends, and alternate weeks
- Must be 18 years of age or older

Job Duties
- Greet visitors and patients in person or communicate by telephone or video conferencing upholding excellent customer service
- Enter and update patient demographic and financial information ensuring full registration early in the process
- Obtain appropriate applications and forms confirming signatures are on file and photocopy/scan documents as needed
- Provide patients with financial responsibility information and collect patient liabilities documenting amount and balancing the cash box daily
- Work with partnering departments such as Financial Counseling, Scheduling, Financial Clearance, and clinical areas to ensure all aspects of the patient encounter are completed
- Provide wayfinding instructions and assist with hospital information as requested
- Coordinate patient admission needs, bed assignments, and tracking boards where applicable
- Meet or exceed audit accuracy standards and proactively resolve errors in a timely manner
- Perform other duties upon request
