The open position at Fairmont Pittsburgh focuses on providing outstanding guest service and support within the restaurant and bar environment. Reporting directly to the Restaurant General Manager, the role emphasizes delivering professional, engaging, and friendly service that enriches the guest experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks that include assisting the bartenders and servers, managing service stations, maintaining cleanliness and stock levels, and having a full understanding of the food and beverage menus. This role requires dedication to creating a welcoming atmosphere that caters expertly to guest enquiries and supports overall restaurant operations.

Job Duties

  • Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service
  • Set up service stations and ensure bussing of stations throughout the shift
  • Assist bartenders with maintaining stocks, changing kegs, collecting empty glasses, re-stocking ice and food service
  • Assist servers with food service, bussing, maintaining stocks and clean glassware
  • Maintain full knowledge of food and beverage menus and offerings
  • Create a welcoming atmosphere
  • Assist with guest enquiries
  • Review daily reports, arrivals, VIPs, and groups in house
  • Perform other duties as assigned
