Brink's is proud to foster an inclusive culture that embraces diversity, encourages growth, and values integrity and safety, creating a work environment where employees feel respected, secure, and appreciated.
This particular opportunity is for the position of an armed part-time Air Courier Messenger within Brink's Global Services division. The role is a critical component in Brink's promise of secure and efficient transportation of valuables, serving as the frontline protector of the company's customer cargo liability during transit operations. The Air Courier Messenger is tasked with escorting valuable goods from the plane side to customer locations, as well as between Brink's facilities and customer sites, ensuring stringent armed security measures are upheld throughout the journey.
The position requires a professional who not only upholds the highest security standards but also delivers exceptional customer service, interacting positively with customers while managing valuable shipments. Responsibilities include monitoring shipments on the tarmac, securing all liability both inside and outside company vehicles, and assisting in the logistics of moving secured valuables within the facility and vehicles. This role also involves strict adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, traffic laws, and internal security protocols to ensure overall safety during operations.
To qualify for this role, candidates must have a minimum of six months experience in a secured logistics environment or a related courier/guard position, be at least 21 years of age, and possess a valid driver's license along with the necessary weapons permits and guard cards. Physical fitness is essential, with the ability to lift at least 50 pounds regularly, and flexibility to work varied hours including weekends and holidays is required.
Brink's presents this role as more than a job; it is a chance to be part of a company with a long-standing reputation for security excellence, offering career growth and advancement. The hourly wage for this role is competitive at $24.00, with additional benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement savings plans available to eligible employees. Brink's commitment to providing a safe, diverse, and inclusive workplace with equal opportunity employment makes it an attractive choice for candidates seeking a meaningful and challenging career in secure logistics and valuables protection.
