The role of Associate Banker is key within Chase’s Consumer & Community Banking division. This division provides banking services including personal banking, credit cards, mortgages, auto financing, investment advice, small business loans, and payment processing. The Consumer Banking group focuses on managing personal money through checking, savings, and credit card products combined with the latest banking technology. The team is recognized for leading U.S. credit card sales and deposit growth while receiving top marks in customer satisfaction. As an Associate Banker, you will represent Chase’s brand and culture by delivering exceptional hospitality and client service. Using cutting-edge financial technology alongside friendly and knowledgeable assistance, you will engage customers by greeting them, managing lobby traffic, and scheduling appointments.

Your responsibilities will include opening and servicing accounts with full compliance of regulatory and bank policies, educating clients on banking technology like the Chase Mobile App and ATMs, and building meaningful relationships by listening actively and sharing product knowledge to help customers meet their financial goals. The Associate Banker will also perform essential branch operations including managing cash devices such as the cash vault and ATM systems. The role requires a detail-oriented approach to banking processes while focusing on elevating the client experience through collaboration and genuine care.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Client service experience or comparable experience

Job Duties

  • Create a welcoming environment by delivering attentive and friendly service by greeting clients as they enter the branch, making them feel heard and cared for, leveraging a tablet to manage lobby traffic, check clients into the waiting queue, and schedule/cancel client meetings
  • Exceed client expectations by providing account servicing and maintenance as well as opening new accounts, while complying with all policies, procedures, and regulatory and banking requirements
  • Educate and assist clients with day-to-day banking transactions including the usage of technology self-service options such as leveraging the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs can help them with their banking needs whenever, wherever, and however they want
  • Build meaningful relationships with clients by actively listening, asking thoughtful questions, demonstrating empathy, and sharing product knowledge and solutions – partnering with other branch team members to help achieve their financial goals
  • Perform branch operations, which may include managing cash devices such as the cash vault, ATM, or others while adhering to all bank policies and procedures
