The role being offered is based in the Huntington Beach, California store and involves event coordination, customer experience management, and operational support within the retail environment. This position is perfect for energetic, enthusiastic individuals with excellent people skills who enjoy fostering creativity and fun for customers of all ages, from children to seniors. The primary responsibility is planning, coordinating, and facilitating in-store events such as kids’ birthday parties and craft classes to create a memorable and stress-free experience. You will engage with guests by demonstrating craft projects, face painting, and executing party add-ons like goody bags and balloons, all while maintaining the company’s high standards of service and safety. Aside from event coordination, the role includes assisting customers with product location, providing solutions, and delivering efficient checkout processes. You will participate in merchandise receiving and stocking, store recovery, and cleanliness, as well as support company programs related to shrink control and safety compliance.
This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, with the flexibility to adapt event plans based on client feedback and needs. Administrative duties such as answering emails, handling phone calls, and completing paperwork are integral to maintaining smooth event operations. The physical environment involves retail store conditions, sometimes requiring lifting, bending, and the use of ladders to access high shelves. The work schedule may include nights, weekends, and early mornings. Compensation for this role ranges from $16.90 to $19.70 per hour. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in event coordination or customer service
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending
- Ability to communicate clearly and positively with customers and team members
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
- Ability to follow company policies and safety procedures
- Must satisfy all federal, state, and local job requirements
