Job Description

Parkshore Juanita Bay is an upcoming senior apartment community located in the serene and picturesque area of Kirkland, Washington, set to open in 2026. This brand-new neighborhood is part of Parkshore Senior Living, an organization known for its commitment to enhancing the quality of life for older adults through compassionate care and tailored living experiences. Situated close to Juanita Park and Juanita Village, this community offers residents access to beautiful natural surroundings and vibrant local amenities, making it an ideal place for seniors to enjoy a comfortable, engaging, and active lifestyle.

At Parkshore Juanita Bay, the emphasis is on providing a warm, inviting environment where residents feel valued and supported. The team behind Parkshore is passionate about their mission to Transform Age, focusing not only on the care of their residents but also on fostering a positive and enriching workspace for employees. They value dedication, compassion, and a collaborative team spirit, ensuring every member contributes meaningfully to the community's success.

The role of Housekeeper at Parkshore Juanita Bay offers a unique opportunity to join this dedicated team, contributing directly to the comfort and well-being of senior residents. Housekeepers play an essential part in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of both private accommodations and communal spaces, helping to create a welcoming and safe environment for everyone. This position is hourly, with a competitive pay rate of $21-23 per hour depending on experience, reflecting the importance of the role and the organization’s commitment to attracting top talent.

Housekeepers are responsible for a variety of tasks, including assisting with occasional laundry services to meet residents' needs. Keeping housekeeping carts and closets neat and well-stocked is vital, ensuring that all necessary supplies and equipment are readily available. Maintaining equipment and ensuring it remains in good working order supports effective and efficient operations. Importantly, this role requires excellent customer service skills; housekeepers must provide friendly, respectful, and attentive care in all interactions with residents, helping to enrich their daily experiences.

Parkshore values candidates who bring a positive attitude and enthusiasm to their work, recognizing that energy and kindness significantly impact residents' quality of life. Although previous experience in senior living or hospitality is highly desired, newcomers with the right mindset and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. CPR and First Aid training may be required according to state or local guidelines to ensure the safety and preparedness of all team members.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old at the time of hire and should ideally possess a high school diploma or GED. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, as is the ability to pass various screenings including background checks, drug tests, and potentially physicals or TB tests as mandated. Physical capability to occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds is also required to carry out job duties successfully.

Joining Parkshore Juanita Bay means becoming part of a caring, mission-driven organization dedicated to making a tangible difference in the lives of seniors. It offers a welcoming and supportive work environment where team members are valued and growth opportunities are encouraged. If you are passionate about customer service, enjoy working in a team-oriented setting, and want to contribute to a meaningful cause, this housekeeper role represents a fulfilling career choice in the growing senior living field.
