Job Description
The Disneyland Resort is a globally renowned entertainment complex located in California, beloved for its immersive experiences, iconic attractions, and unparalleled guest service. Within this vibrant resort lies the Signature Fine Dining team, a distinguished group of culinary artists, visionaries, and storytellers dedicated to creating extraordinary dining experiences. This team operates within some of the resort's most celebrated fine dining establishments, including the award-winning Carthay Circle and the exclusive Club 33. These venues offer guests not only exceptional food but also an ambiance crafted with the utmost attention to detail and passion for culinary excellence.
As part of the Disneyland Resort Signature Fine Dining team, professionals have access to premium ingredients and state-of-the-art kitchen facilities that enable the creation of inventive menus and one-of-a-kind dishes. The resort emphasizes growth and professional development, encouraging chefs to refine their craft, deepen their culinary knowledge, and contribute to the story each dish tells. Working within these high-caliber restaurants means engaging in a fast-paced, dynamic setting where creativity and precision are equally valued.
The roles available within the Signature Fine Dining team include positions such as Signature Fine Dining/Demi Chef and Dinner Cook. These hourly roles offer not only competitive wages but also unique opportunities to thrive in one of the most prestigious hospitality environments in the country. The Signature Fine Dining/Demi Chef role pays $30.50 per hour, reflecting the advanced skills and responsibilities required, while the Dinner Cook role offers $28.50 per hour. Both positions play integral parts in delivering the magical culinary experiences guests expect from the Disneyland Resort.
In the Signature Fine Dining/Demi Chef role, individuals will use advanced cooking techniques such as braising, baking, roasting, and high-level skillet or sauté work. They may prepare complex sauces a la minute and engage in specialized tasks such as bone and clean shellfish or create seasonings, cures, and rubs from scratch. This position requires a blend of culinary artistry and leadership, including inventory management and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests alike.
Dinner Cooks focus on preparing a broad array of food items, from stocks and sauces to meats, vegetables, and desserts. Precision in measuring and mixing ingredients, understanding recipes, and maintaining temperature controls throughout food preparation are essential. Both roles demand strict adherence to food safety and sanitation protocols, including HACCP standards, to ensure the highest level of guest safety. Additionally, team members must demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, as the resort operates 24/7, including holidays, weekends, and special events.
Joining the Signature Fine Dining team is ideal for those who possess a passion for culinary arts, enjoy working in a high-volume kitchen, and aspire to be part of a world-class hospitality institution. The roles provide an environment where culinary talents are nurtured, guest satisfaction is a priority, and every day brings the opportunity to create memorable dining experiences that embody the magic of Disneyland.
