Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Minimum of 2 years culinary field experience focused on high-volume production
  • Culinary education degree or equivalent experience if less than 2 years experience

Job Duties

  • Prepare, season, and cook stocks, soups, sauces, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other foodstuffs
  • Read menus to estimate food requirements such as procedures and pars
  • Adjust thermostat controls to regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, roasters, and steam kettles
  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes, using kitchen utensils and equipment such as blenders, mixers, grinders, slicers, and tenderizers
  • Perform line cook and pantry skills including roasting, baking, and broiling meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
  • Add seasoning to foods during mixing or cooking according to taste
  • Formulate and prepare complex recipes including bakers/pastry recipes and high-end specialty desserts
  • Operate all kitchen equipment, including adjusting thermostat controls to regulate temperature
  • Maintain standards and specifications related to food preparation and food handling
  • Uphold food safety and sanitation guidelines including HACCP procedures
  • Check and maintain proper temperatures throughout preparation, cooling, holding, and serving of food items
  • Observe, test, and ensure food is cooked and plated to proper standards
  • Clean kitchen equipment
  • Handle special dietary requests and work with Guests requiring special dietary considerations
