Recognized for its commitment to serving vulnerable populations within Marion County, Eskenazi Health has earned numerous accolades including accreditation by The Joint Commission and recognition as one of Indiana’s best employers by Forbes Magazine. It is also distinguished as the top hospital in the state for community benefit by the Lown Institute.

Eskenazi Health is home to Indiana’s only adult Level I trauma center and the state’s only verified adult burn center, providing top-tier emergency medical services to the community. Its Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center is notable as the first community mental health center established in the state. Additionally, Eskenazi Health sponsors Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services (EMS), underscoring its essential role in local healthcare provision and emergency response.

For this role, Eskenazi Health is seeking a Part-Time Parking Services Attendant who will be an important first point of contact for patients, visitors, and guests arriving at the hospital. The attendant will provide a warm, professional, and helpful presence by assisting with vehicle parking, directing traffic, and ensuring the parking facilities and entrances are safe and welcoming. This position operates during daytime hours and supports the organization’s mission to Advocate, Care, Teach, and Serve, focusing especially on vulnerable populations. The Parking Services Attendant will embody the core values of Professionalism, Respect, Innovation, Development, and Excellence while carrying out their duties.

The attendant will maintain cleanliness in the parking garage and surface lots, ensure adequate wheelchair availability at entrances, and uphold proper logs and records related to parking operations. This role requires quick thinking and independent judgment, particularly in critical or emergency situations. Additional responsibilities include staffing the parking office to support new hires and manage specialty parking permits, aiding supervisors with gate and intercom maintenance, and providing directions within the hospital campus.

This position is well-suited for individuals who excel in customer service, possess good judgment and problem-solving skills, and have the flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities and schedules. It requires attention to detail, the ability to communicate effectively in English (bilingual skills are a plus though not mandatory), and a genuine desire to assist patients and visitors in a dynamic healthcare environment. The Parking Services Attendant plays a pivotal role in maintaining a positive hospital experience from the moment guests arrive to their departure, enhancing overall patient satisfaction and supporting the organization's reputation within the community.
