This organization prioritizes safety, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence within its Parking & Ground Transportation services, essential to the overall airport experience.
The role of Parking Operations Attendant at this airport is a dynamic and multifaceted position designed to support the complete range of parking and ground transportation operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring passengers receive helpful, courteous, and timely assistance, playing an integral part in the smooth operation of parking services and shuttle transportation between parking lots and terminals. The position involves staffing parking booths where attendants handle payment processing, reservation system operations, and customer inquiries. Additionally, the attendant is responsible for providing shuttle services, monitoring parking lots for safety and proper use, supporting special events through traffic direction and customer assistance, and occasionally assisting with minor vehicle issues such as battery jumps or tire inflation.
This is a hands-on role that demands flexibility, excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions. The position is essential for enhancing the passenger experience by maintaining efficiency in ground transportation and parking operations. Responsibilities range from operational tasks such as operating point of sale systems and shuttles to customer-facing duties like assisting with luggage handling and providing clear, courteous information about airport facilities and parking options. The role also requires vigilance in safety monitoring and reporting any incidents, contributing to an overall safe and secure environment for all airport users.
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record for at least three years, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and fit-for-duty exam. Experience with shuttle bus driving is preferred but not mandatory, highlighting the organization's commitment to training and supporting new employees in gaining the necessary skills. The job entails physical activities such as lifting up to 50 pounds, extended periods of standing or sitting, and dealing with environmental stressors like noise and constant interruptions, reflecting the real-life demands of an active airport environment.
Overall, the Parking Operations Attendant position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in working at a major transportation hub, providing essential services that directly impact travelers’ experiences. This role supports the airport’s mission to deliver safe, convenient, and customer-friendly parking and ground transportation solutions while fostering a cooperative and efficient workplace environment.
