The Parking Mobility Specialist position at SP+ plays a crucial front-line role in representing Metropolis Parking’s innovative technologies and customer service excellence. This part-time role, located at the Library Lot, pays $16 per hour and requires a dynamic individual with stamina, attention to detail, and a strong customer-first mindset. As a Mobility Specialist, you will be the face of Metropolis’ technology-driven parking service, assisting customers with enrollment and navigating the parking systems while ensuring a positive and professional experience. This role also includes responsibilities related to maintaining compliance with parking policies, keeping lots and garages in excellent condition, and supporting overall operational activities. Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to six consecutive hours)
  • Ability to visually inspect vehicles and physically access all areas of garages and lots
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings
  • Ability to communicate effectively in spoken English with customers and team members
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior parking industry experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to use mobile devices such as iPads, iPhones, or Android devices
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Reliable and adaptable

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist guests in parking lots and garages, providing professional and friendly service
  • Educate customers on Metropolis parking technology and assist with enrollment as needed
  • Promote positive customer relationships by consistently delivering excellent customer service
  • Respond to customer questions and concerns confidently and courteously
  • Patrol assigned parking lots and garages to identify vehicles without proper payment or authorization
  • Issue parking violations in accordance with company policies
  • Document violations using company-provided mobile devices, including photo documentation
  • Maintain the cleanliness of parking lots, garages, and common areas
  • Identify and report debris, spills, hazards, or maintenance issues promptly
  • Sweep floors, collect trash, and empty trash receptacles as needed
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, including cleaning, washing, oil changes, and minor upkeep
  • Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Observe all safety protocols at all times
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
