The role of Parking Lot Attendant within the Transportation Department at Saint Anthony Hospital is a full-time, evening shift position designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, guest-oriented environment. This position requires providing personal vehicle parking and retrieval services for hospital guests with a high level of customer service and efficiency. Parking Lot Attendants play a crucial role in the valet and parking operations team by ensuring vehicles are parked securely and returned promptly to guests while maintaining a welcoming and professional demeanor. The hourly compensation ranges from $16.60 to $21.63, reflecting factors such as skill set, experience, and qualifications.

Key responsibilities include driving vehicles to designated valet parking areas, logging vehicle details accurately, greeting guests, managing valet key tags, and adhering to safety protocols. The role demands a strong ability to multitask and move quickly between locations within the valet operation to meet the demands of a busy hospital environment. Additionally, attendants participate actively in maintaining environmental, health, and safety standards according to hospital policies. The position requires familiarity with both automatic and standard transmission vehicles, organizational skills, and solid customer service capabilities. Experience in housekeeping between one to three years is preferred, alongside possession of a valid Illinois driver’s license and a clean driving record. Job Duties

  • Driving vehicle to a designated area in valet parking lot, securing and noting the space the vehicle is parked on valet tag and log, returning the tag and keys to valet key booth
  • Driving vehicle to and from parked areas, securing the vehicle and noting specific information on the ticket
  • Following proper safe driving procedures and safety protocol
  • Greeting all guests upon arrival, opening doors, explaining valet procedures, and asking guests if they need directions and performing access control responsibilities for the valet area
  • Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Hospital policies, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities
  • Performing other duties as assigned
