Job Description
The Parking Spot is a well-established company with over 25 years of experience in the airport parking industry. As the largest near-airport parking company in the United States, it operates more than 40 locations nationwide and employs over 2,000 team members. The company stands out not only for its extensive reach and reliability but also for its unique Employee Ownership Program. This program allows every team member to hold a direct financial stake in the company’s success, fostering a culture of ownership, responsibility, and commitment to delivering exceptional service. As a leader in the parking sector, The Parking Spot prioritizes creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for both guests and employees. The company is proud to promote a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace where every individual is valued and respected, reflecting its commitment to social responsibility and cultural sensitivity. This dedication to diversity is integral to the company’s operations, especially given its role in the travel industry where individuals from various backgrounds converge.
The Parking Guest Attendant (PGA) is a vital frontline position that plays an essential role in ensuring a positive customer experience. PGAs are responsible for interacting directly with guests during the check-in and check-out process, providing a friendly, efficient, and professional service. The attendants assist guests by welcoming them warmly, facilitating smooth entry and exit at the parking lanes, answering questions, and ensuring the safety and satisfaction of every visitor. This role requires employees who are not only customer-service oriented but also capable of adapting to technology with ease, as the company uses Apple technology and a kiosk system to manage daily operations. The position is offered on all shifts with standby availability and pays $18 per hour.
Team members in this role benefit from various employee programs, including the potential for an immediate conditional job offer following their interview, consistent work schedules, training and professional development opportunities, and for those eligible, enrollment in a 401(k) plan. The company encourages collaboration among team members to provide the best possible guest experience at all times. Additionally, PGAs may be cross-trained in other frontline roles to support operational flexibility. This role also demands physical stamina, including the ability to work in varying weather conditions and stand for most of the shift, with some lifting required. The Parking Spot is committed to maintaining a clean and orderly work environment, reflecting its overall standards of excellence. Employees are also expected to help promote the company’s loyalty program, the TPS Spot Club, enhancing customer retention and satisfaction.
In summary, working as a Parking Guest Attendant at The Parking Spot offers the opportunity to be part of a reputable and employee-focused company that values inclusivity, employee ownership, and excellent guest service. Candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments, possess strong communication skills, and enjoy working collaboratively will find this role rewarding. The Parking Spot’s emphasis on diversity, continuous learning, and career growth makes it an excellent choice for those looking to build a career in the service and hospitality industry while enjoying competitive pay and meaningful employee benefits.
