Job Description
The Car Park is a rapidly expanding company known for harnessing the latest technology, exceptional customer service, and industry best practices to manage over 500 parking locations throughout the United States. Our expertise spans a wide range of markets including hospitality, healthcare, events, municipalities, office spaces, retail locations, and universities. We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative work environment built on professionalism, mutual respect, integrity, trust, and a good sense of humor. At The Car Park, we deeply value the role each team member plays in shaping our company culture and are committed to providing exceptional employee experiences. We invest heavily in learning opportunities, career development, and ensure our workplace is both productive and enjoyable for all employees.
The role we are currently seeking to fill is that of a Parking Enforcement Officer, a vital position responsible for monitoring street parking, parking lots, and parking structures to ensure compliance with local parking regulations. This role involves identifying illegally parked vehicles, issuing citations, and maintaining order in assigned areas. Parking Enforcement Officers patrol their designated zones by vehicle, bicycle, or on foot to observe and enforce parking ordinances, contributing to public safety and effective traffic management.
This position requires a professional demeanor and excellent communication skills, as officers often engage with the public while issuing warnings or citations. Key responsibilities include writing tickets for parking violations, reporting hazardous conditions such as missing traffic signals or signs, responding to abandoned vehicles, and setting up or removing barricades and temporary signs. Additionally, officers conduct security checks of parking facilities and may be tasked with training new or temporary staff on technical aspects of the role. Proper maintenance and care of company-issued equipment also fall under the officer’s duties.
The ideal candidate for this role is someone who enjoys creating positive experiences for customers and coworkers, maintains composure in busy situations, and possesses strong problem-solving skills coupled with legible handwriting. They exhibit a positive attitude, have the ability to anticipate customer needs, and always present a professional appearance and demeanor. Flexibility in schedule is important, as well as holding a high school diploma or equivalent, being at least 19 years old, and possessing a valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.
Joining The Car Park means access to a range of comprehensive benefits designed to support your well-being and professional growth. This includes paid opportunities to obtain a Traffic Control Officer certificate, 18 days of paid time off to recharge, paid parental leave, volunteer time off, paid holidays, bereavement leave, and coverage for medical, dental, and vision care. Flexible spending accounts, short-term disability, critical illness and accident benefits, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, and a 401(k) plan are also available to eligible team members. Most importantly, you will be joining a team that values respect, professionalism, and fun, ensuring a supportive and rewarding work environment.
