Job Requirements
- Less than high school education or one month related experience or equivalent combination
- Valid state-issued driver’s license with acceptable driving record if driving company vehicle is expected
- Availability to work 2nd, 3rd shift or weekends if required
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write correspondence
- Ability to perform basic mathematical operations with American money
- Maintain neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform
- Physical ability to stand, walk, use hands, occasionally sit, climb, balance, and lift up to 25 pounds
- Punctuality and reliability in attendance
- Ability to courteously assist customers and communicate effectively
- Knowledge of garage layout and local area
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- Ability to effectively perform all essential duties
- Capability to read, comprehend, and write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information clearly in one-on-one interactions
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Maintain neat and clean appearance and wear complete uniform at all times
- Ability to stand, walk, use hands, climb, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- Valid state-issued driver’s license if required for driving company vehicles
- Availability to work varied shifts including 2nd, 3rd, and weekend shifts as needed
- Strong customer service and communication skills
Job Duties
- Ensure appropriate number of cars is kept on location throughout shift
- Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces
- Count vehicles on location throughout shift as needed
- Write and issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors violating garage policies
- Patrol transient and reserved parking levels on foot or in motor carts
- Provide assistance to customers who forgot their vehicle location
- Arrive at work on time, in uniform, and ready to perform duties
- Courteously assist customers by answering questions or directing them to Facility Manager
- Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed
- Assist in maintenance and repair of parking equipment and general maintenance tasks
- Report accidents, policy violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to Facility Manager
- Communicate debris, water, oil spills, etc. to garage office
- Substitute for valets when authorized
- Maintain thorough knowledge of garage areas and surrounding streets
- Assist Facility Manager with additional duties as assigned
