The Parking Attendant role involves overseeing parking facilities, enforcing parking regulations, and delivering outstanding customer service to arena patrons. This position is critical in managing the smooth flow of venue visitors, assisting customers with parking inquiries, and maintaining safety standards within the parking lots. Responsibilities include distributing parking tickets, collecting fees, providing accurate change, and responding to general questions about the arena. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions and able to stand or walk for extended periods. The role requires cooperation with Parking and Security Managers to ensure effective operation and compliance with venue policies. The ability to multitask and adapt to shifting work demands, including nights, weekends, and holidays, makes this role both challenging and rewarding. Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must pass a clean background and credit check
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced diverse environment
- Must provide the utmost customer service that meets ASM Global standards
- Must have the ability to collect funds and make change accurately for each transaction
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively
- Must be able to remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for hours at a time
- Must be able to work well with employees, guests, and clients
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least six months cash handling experience
- Customer service experience
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask
- Flexibility to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Receive all guests with outstanding friendly customer service
- Sell parking tickets, collecting funds and making change as needed
- Answer general questions about the arena and provide assistance when needed
- Assist Parking/Security Manager and Parking Supervisors when needed
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned
