Job Description
SP+, a Metropolis company, is a leading artificial intelligence company dedicated to transforming everyday parking experiences through innovative computer vision technology. By enabling checkout-free parking, SP+ eliminates the usual hassles associated with parking such as fumbling with tickets, machines, apps, or credit cards. The company’s vision revolutionizes mobility by allowing customers to simply drive in and drive out without delays or complications. This seamless parking experience is powered by a robust network that spans over 4,000 locations across North America and Europe, supported by a workforce of more than 23,000 employees. SP+ is recognized as the largest parking network in America and remains at the forefront of technological advancements in parking management and mobility solutions.
SP+ is committed to reinventing the parking experience for its customers, recognizing that parking is an essential service affecting everyone. By harnessing cutting-edge AI and computer vision capabilities, SP+ aims to eradicate the traditional inefficiencies and frustrations of parking, offering a service that saves users valuable time and streamlines their daily routines. The company’s technology-driven approach also sets the stage for broader checkout-free applications beyond parking, envisioning a future where everyday experiences in living, working, and playing environments are markedly improved, enabling people to reclaim their most precious resource: time.
The Parking Attendant role at SP+ is a vital position ensuring the smooth operations of parking facilities. The attendant’s responsibilities focus on maintaining order and customer satisfaction within parking locations. This role involves oversight of vehicle placement, lot cleanliness, and adherence to parking policies. Attendants act as the frontline representatives of SP+, assisting customers with parking guidance, addressing their concerns, and enforcing policies such as issuing violation warnings when necessary. This position requires attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously to maintain an efficient and welcoming parking environment.
The position is dynamic and may require the attendant to patrol parking lots on foot or by vehicle, manage traffic at entrances and exits, and communicate effectively with team members and management. The role occasionally includes equipment maintenance tasks and acting as a substitute for valet services when authorized. SP+ values punctuality, professional appearance, and a customer-oriented mindset from its attendants, emphasizing the importance of a neat uniform and timely presence at work. The employment type and specific shift details may vary by location, potentially including availability for second and third shifts or weekend work.
SP+ champions diversity and inclusion as an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring without discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, citizenship, marital status, sexual orientation, veteran status, gender identity, disability, or any other legally protected classes. The company also employs automated employment decision tools to assist in candidate evaluation, ensuring a fair and data-driven hiring process. SP+ provides reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities and fosters a workplace culture free from harassment and retaliation.
This role is well-suited for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, value strong customer interaction, and are interested in being part of a technologically advanced company that is shaping the future of mobility and parking solutions.
