Job Description

The hiring establishment is a hotel known for its commitment to exceptional guest service and operational excellence. This hospitality-driven environment places a strong emphasis on creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, ensuring safety, security, and efficient service delivery across all departments. The hotel is recognized for its dynamic culture where team collaboration and individual accountability align with its core values of capability, service, excellence, agility, and ownership. Employment is offered on an hourly basis with compensation set at $18.00 per hour, reflecting the company’s dedication to fair and competitive wages in the hospitality industry.

The role in focus is that of a Parking Attendant, a key front-facing position within the hotel’s operations. This role commands a high level of interaction with guests, especially as it involves greeting and assisting visitors upon their arrival. The Parking Attendant is directly responsible for guiding guests to available parking spaces, ensuring the safety and security of the parking lot, and managing the collection of parking fees according to established cash handling protocols and guest service standards.

This position acts as an initial point of contact for guests entering the hotel premises, which makes it critical in shaping guests’ first impressions. The Parking Attendant’s duties include ongoing monitoring and maintenance of the parking area to keep it clean and safe while upholding the hotel’s sustainability efforts through participation in EarthView program practices. Moreover, the role requires balancing operational tasks—such as counting the cash bank at the end of shifts and documenting transactions—with guest assistance, where the attendant either provides direct help or efficiently refers guests to other relevant hotel associates.

Physical demands are part of the job, involving standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and other movements necessary to maintain operational standards outside. The work environment frequently involves outdoor conditions and may require working holidays and weekends, reflecting the hospitality industry’s commitment to round-the-clock guest service.

Career growth in this role is supported with clear pathways, including positions like Porter, Valet, Bellperson, and Bell Captain, emphasizing the hotel’s commitment to internal development and promoting from within. Safety, guest satisfaction, and adherence to company values such as hearts that serve and ownership underpin the role’s expectations and daily operations.

Overall, this position offers a blend of operational duty, customer service, and security responsibility in an engaging hospitality setting, suiting individuals eager to work actively in a team-oriented, guest-focused environment while laying a solid foundation for career advancement within the hotel industry.
