With a reputation for professionalism, reliability, and excellent service, VPA caters to a range of clients including medical facilities, hospitality venues, and corporate offices. Established as a growing company, VPA continues to expand its footprint by fostering a positive work culture and offering numerous growth opportunities for its employees. The company places a high emphasis on community involvement, employee development, and providing a supportive environment where all team members are valued. VPA also highlights a strong commitment to diversity and equal employment opportunities, ensuring a welcoming workplace for everyone.
VPA is currently seeking a part-time Parking Ambassador to join the team in Waterbury, Connecticut. This role is ideal for individuals looking to supplement another job or academic responsibilities with flexible evening and weekend shifts. As a Parking Ambassador, you will be positioned at a busy medical entrance, serving as a friendly and professional representative of Valet Park of America and the medical facility it supports. Your main responsibilities will involve assisting customers with parking, maintaining clear access for emergency vehicles, and ensuring the smooth flow of incoming traffic. The role requires standing for the entire shift and lifting items such as wheelchairs, strollers, walkers, baggage, and gifts in and out of vehicles.
The position pays $18.38 per hour to start, with weekly payroll options including check, direct deposit, or pay card, offering convenience and timely compensation. Employees can expect to work two evening shifts from 4:00 pm to 8:30 pm during weekdays, with some weekend shifts as well. Flexibility to cover additional shifts is preferred to support the dynamic needs of the workplace.
Valet Park of America prioritizes a positive company culture where employees are respected and recognized. Staff can benefit from a variety of employee-centric programs including incentives, company trips such as professional sporting events and picnics, and access to a quarterly newsletter that shares company news and career advancement opportunities. VPA’s commitment to internal promotion means there are clear pathways to management roles for motivated individuals. The company style is inclusive and personal - management regularly works alongside employees and values each team member individually.
Working outdoors in all weather conditions is an important aspect of this role. Employees must be prepared to work regardless of inclement weather, whether hot, cold, or rainy, maintaining a high standard of service without cancellations. Communication skills are essential as the role requires effective interaction with customers and coworkers in English. All employees undergo criminal records checks to ensure safety and integrity.
In summary, this Parking Ambassador role at Valet Park of America offers a unique, flexible part-time opportunity with competitive pay and a supportive team environment. Ideal candidates are dependable, customer service oriented, physically capable, and ready to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. If you are looking for a role that values your contribution and offers more than just a job, VPA encourages you to apply and become part of a respected company that rewards dedication and hard work.
