Job Description
Henrico Doctors Hospital is a distinguished 340-bed community hospital established in 1974 and operated under the umbrella of HCA Healthcare, one of the nation’s leading providers of healthcare services. The hospital proudly serves the communities around its three campuses — Henrico, Parham, and Retreat Doctors Hospitals — along with the Hanover Emergency Center, a free-standing emergency facility. The hospital is known for offering a wide range of specialized services including cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology, oncology, physical therapy, women’s services, and a 24/7 emergency department. The organization was envisioned and founded by a group of independent physicians focused on delivering high-quality healthcare in an accessible community setting, and it continues to uphold these principles today. Henrico Doctors Hospital values its people above all, emphasizing that it is the dedication and passion of its staff that truly make the hospital what it is, reflecting the visionary words of Dr. Thomas Frist, Sr., HCA Healthcare Co-Founder, "Bricks and mortar do not make a hospital. People do."
The Park Valet Services Attendant PRN role at Henrico Doctors Hospital represents an excellent career opportunity for individuals passionate about customer service and care within a healthcare environment. As a Park Valet, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, responsible for delivering a premier level of service by greeting guests warmly and professionally. The role involves offering parking and valet services proactively, facilitating the smooth flow of patients and visitors from valet points to registration or service areas, and providing accurate directions to various hospital locations. This position requires maintaining an orderly work area in alignment with established safety and customer service standards while adhering strictly to all system, departmental compliance policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
This is a PRN (pro re nata, or as-needed) position, offering flexible work hours which are beneficial for those seeking supplemental income or balancing other commitments. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage; life and disability insurance; flexible spending accounts; a 401(k) plan with employer match; employee stock purchase plan; family support including adoption and elder care resources; education assistance; paid time off programs and much more, making it a supportive and rewarding place to work. This position requires a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, the ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles, and a minimum age of 21 to satisfy insurance requirements. The ideal candidate will bring at least three years of experience in hospitality, customer service, or a related field, along with prior money handling experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred but not mandatory.
