Job Description
Scoot Education is a dedicated staffing partner that specializes in creating exceptional educational experiences by connecting skilled professionals with schools that need their expertise. Serving a broad range of educational institutions, including public, charter, private, independent, and faith-based schools, Scoot Education focuses on sourcing the right candidates to fill both long-term and short-term positions in various educational roles. These roles range from substitute teaching to paraprofessional assistance, with additional opportunities in after school programs, early childhood centers, and specialized areas like behavior intervention and bilingual support depending on location and certification.
Scoot Education is committed to fostering a supportive and flexible working environment for its educators by providing one-on-one consultations through dedicated Education Consultants. These consultants work closely with each educator to align assignments with individual skills, interests, and experience. They provide ongoing support that includes regular check-ins for feedback, career advice, and professional development opportunities. Most consultants come with teaching backgrounds, enabling them to share valuable best practices and practical advice to help educators thrive in their roles.
The position available in Napa is focused on working closely with students with special needs as a Special Education Instructional Assistant, Personal Care Assistant, or Behavior Aide. These roles involve small group or one-on-one student interaction, fostering a safe and nurturing environment, and supporting teachers with implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs). The position is tailored for individuals passionate about education and committed to putting students first. It offers an hourly wage ranging from $30 to $32 depending on certifications, location, and specific assignment details. Compensation is handled through weekly paychecks via direct deposit with W-2 employment status, alleviating concerns about tax withholding. Additionally, Scoot Education covers expenses related to mandatory state and federal background checks and offers a 401(k) plan for eligible employees.
Working at Scoot Education also provides various benefits such as paid training and professional development (subject to state regulations), a referral program with gift card incentives, comprehensive support from experienced education consultants, and flexible assignment options to suit different availability. This role requires empathy, a growth mindset, ability to handle diverse classroom scenarios, and readiness to assist with medical or personal care needs when necessary. The work environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings and requires physical activity such as sitting, standing, walking, and the ability to safely lift up to 30 pounds.
Scoot Education stands firm on the principles of equal opportunity employment, ensuring no discrimination based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or any other protected status. This commitment extends to making employment decisions purely on merit and value, benefiting educators, school partners, and the local communities they serve. The company invites motivated individuals who share these values and are eager to positively impact the lives of students to apply for the open positions in Napa today. Whether full-time, part-time, or temporary work arrangements are sought, Scoot Education presents a meaningful career pathway in education with competitive pay and supportive infrastructure.
