Job Requirements

  • Minimum three years ALS experience for flight paramedics
  • Minimum three years clinical experience for EMT-P/LP
  • Current Texas Certification or Licensure as a Paramedic
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid Texas Drivers License and auto liability insurance
  • ACLS certification within 90 days of employment and maintained thereafter
  • PALS certification within 90 days of employment and maintained thereafter
  • NRP certification within 90 days of employment and maintained thereafter
  • Stable certification within 90 days of employment and maintained thereafter
  • TNCC audit within six months of employment and every four years thereafter
  • Advanced certification such as FP-C, CCEMTP, C-NPT or TP-C within two years
  • Emergency Vehicle Operators Course during orientation and every three years thereafter

Job Duties

  • Provide care and transportation to pediatric and neonatal patients via ground ambulance, helicopter, and fixed-wing aircraft
  • Maintain readiness of equipment and availability of supplies
  • Complete all required transportation-related paperwork accurately
  • Expand knowledge of pediatric and neonatal patient care in the transport environment
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and high organizational skills
  • Exhibit strong customer service and communication skills
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members and patients
