Job Description

This opportunity is with a respected emergency medical services provider dedicated to delivering superior care through advanced and basic life support services. The organization specializes in providing timely, professional pre-hospital and facility emergency medical services that comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Known for high standards of service, the company ensures that patients receive the best care under challenging conditions, using well-maintained rescue units and a highly trained staff. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring medical professionals with strong leadership capabilities and a commitment to saving lives. The organization emphasizes continuous training and certification upkeep to maintain the highest possible standards in patient care.

The role being offered is that of a Paramedic, a critical position responsible for directing patient care during emergency and non-emergency situations. The Paramedic operates rescue units, providing both basic and advanced life support while adhering to established medical protocols and regulatory requirements. This job requires someone who is confident in making quick decisions and leading a care team in dynamic, often critical scenarios. The Paramedic will act as the attendant-in-charge when necessary, taking full responsibility for patient care and medical issues. Key functions include examining patients, coordinating with medical staff, and operating ambulance equipment safely. Importantly, the position offers a significant sign-on bonus as an incentive, reflecting the company’s commitment to attracting qualified professionals.

Applicants will benefit from working in an environment that supports professional growth and provides a platform to make an impactful difference in patients’ lives. The employer offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus for day shift positions and a $25,000 sign-on bonus for night shift roles, contingent upon a two-year full-time employment commitment. The Paramedic role involves critical operational duties such as ensuring vehicles are stocked, maintained, and cleaned according to prescribed standards. There is a focus on safety, both in terms of patient care and vehicle operation, and strong organizational skills are necessary to maintain vehicle readiness and workplace cleanliness throughout each shift.

Further responsibilities include documentation of patient care and operational reports, adherence to infection control guidelines, physical demands involving lifting and carrying over 100 pounds, and continuous professional development through training sessions. The paramedic is pivotal in the chain of emergency response, requiring up-to-date certifications including Virginia EMT-I or EMT-P, CPR, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, and others that demonstrate compliance with both state and federal EMS regulations. The company also values candidates who hold certifications like EVOC, BTLS/ITLS or PHTLS, and FEMA ICS, along with a clean driver’s license and the ability to pass background checks.

This role is suited to committed emergency medical professionals eager to advance their careers in a reputable EMS organization. It provides a structured yet rewarding career path with competitive bonuses, ongoing training, and the chance to contribute meaningfully to community health and safety.
