Job Description

This healthcare organization is committed to providing exceptional emergency medical services with a focus on patient care and safety. Recognized for its professionalism and dedication, the establishment operates within federal, state, and local guidelines to ensure every patient receives timely and competent care. The organization is currently offering exciting sign-on bonuses of $15,000 for day shift positions and $25,000 for night shift positions, contingent upon a 2-year full-time employment commitment, reflecting its commitment to attracting top talent in emergency medical services.

The role of the Paramedic within this organization is pivotal, requiring a high level of expertise and leadership in handling both non-emergency and emergency medical situations. The candidate will be responsible for directing patient care in line with established medical protocols and regulatory standards. This position demands an individual who can lead, coordinate, and actively participate in the delivery of basic and advanced life support, whether in pre-hospital environments or healthcare facilities. When acting as the attendant-in-charge, the Paramedic will provide crucial direction to other crew members regarding patient care and medical concerns, ensuring collaborative and efficient teamwork.

Paramedics are entrusted with the examination of patients, accurate reporting of findings to receiving medical personnel, and the delivery of emergency medical interventions as indicated by medical control or protocol mandates. The role equally emphasizes the importance of thorough documentation by completing required reports related to emergency runs and patient encounters. Furthermore, safe ambulance operation in compliance with company policies and legal standards is essential, as is the maintenance of the ambulance and medical equipment to ensure readiness for every response.

This position also involves a strong component of stewardship and hygiene, requiring maintenance of cleanliness within the patient care compartments, vehicles, and company facilities according to infection control guidelines. Physical demands include the ability to lift, carry, and balance substantial weights safely. Continuous professional development through training and compliance with certification renewals, including maintaining valid Virginia EMT certifications, CPR, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, EVOC, and other pertinent qualifications, is mandatory, enabling the Paramedic to stay current with evolving medical standards and operational protocols.

Overall, this career opportunity is ideal for motivated medical professionals seeking to work in a structured yet dynamic environment that values expertise, teamwork, and dedication to patient care in both emergency and non-emergency settings. The organization offers a substantial sign-on incentive, reflecting its recognition of the vital role Paramedics play in the healthcare system and its commitment to supporting their professional journey.
