Job Requirements

high school diploma or equivalent
one year of experience in a supportive, office, or retail position, preferably in a non-profit setting or equivalent combination of training and experience
ability to lift 50 pounds without restriction
excellent verbal and written communication skills
customer service skills
time management skills
experience with ms office software including outlook and word
awareness of and sensitivity to the issues and health disparities faced by underserved populations

Job Duties

organizes and distributes groceries to patients utilizing the food pantry
packs food bags on scheduled pantry days
conducts initial eligibility assessment for all individuals requesting or referred for pantry services and supports front desk intake services
maintains inventory of the food pantry including organizing food deliveries
keeps accurate records and documentation of all pantry services and site deliveries
ensures physical pantry meets all safety and health guidelines including food storage and pantry cleanliness
assists with order and delivery of pantry foods to ensure that inventory meets the demands of the community
maintains accurate temperature logs on all pantry appliances, reporting any concerns to the director of health and wellness
