In this role as a Pantry Cook at California Pizza Kitchen, individuals will become an essential part of the culinary team, tasked with delivering high-quality food and outstanding service in a fast-paced, fun environment. The Pantry Cook is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, sanitation, and equipment maintenance at the Pantry station, focusing on timely preparation of salads and desserts. This position requires detail orientation, teamwork, and adherence to safety and sanitary protocols, including proper handling of cutting boards, knives, and kitchen equipment. The Pantry Cook collaborates closely with the rest of the kitchen staff to support line checks, complete prep paperwork accurately, and ensure the station is properly stocked and maintained throughout each shift, including opening, closing, and performing side work duties. Job Duties
- Maintain the highest standards for food quality, sanitation, and maintenance in Pantry station
- Assure timely preparation of all salads and desserts
- Support the line check process and complete prep par sheets every shift
- Prepare all necessary items for the station as needed
- Practice and teach safe/sanitary handling of cutting boards, countertops, knives, and equipment
- Maintain the proper temperature of equipment
- Perform station opening/closing and side work duties each shift
