Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is recommended but not mandatory
- Previous experience as a cook or in a culinary-related role
- Knowledge of food preparation and cooking methods
- Understanding of sanitation procedures and food safety guidelines
- Possession or willingness to obtain food safety certification
- Basic math skills and ability to measure ingredients accurately
- Effective communication skills and capability to work collaboratively in a team
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols diligently
Job Qualifications
- Prior participation as a cook or in a related culinary job
- Deep understanding of food preparation principles and diverse cooking methods
- Familiarity with sanitation procedures and food safety guidelines is key
- Acquire the pertinent food safety certification, if it has not been obtained as yet
- Primary abilities in mathematical operations and counting
- Proficiency in communication and the ability to work well in a team setting
- A high school diploma or a comparable qualification is recommended but not obligatory
Job Duties
- Cook and prepare meals as per standardized recipes and guidelines for production
- Arrange work areas with the necessary ingredients and tools for the task at hand
- Get ingredients ready through chopping, trimming, measuring, mixing, and more
- Learn the proper handling of a variety of kitchen tools and appliances, such as knives, ovens, stoves, and mixers, for their safe use
- Utilize a range of methods such as baking, broiling, roasting, and steaming to prepare and cook meals
- Present and distribute meals according to specific standards for their appearance and quantity
- Adhere to the prescribed food safety procedures and store food items adequately
- Clean and sterilize kitchen compartments, tools, and utensils to uphold sanitation standards
- Deliver exceptional service to customers while maintaining a positive attitude
- Observe and uphold Aramark's safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain the confidentiality of organizational assets
