Job Description

Flynn Group entered the Panera Bread system in 2015 by acquiring 47 cafes, marking the beginning of what has become one of the most successful expansions in the Panera franchise network. Since that initial acquisition, Flynn Group has more than tripled its size, establishing itself as the 2nd largest Panera franchisee in the world. This remarkable growth is driven not only by acquiring new franchise operators but also by building brand-new stores from the ground up. The company proudly operates within a decentralized business model where each geographic area is led by a Market Leader who oversees multiple area directors. These Area Directors are responsible for the multifunctional operations across their cafes, managing General Managers who serve as the chief leaders of individual cafes. The management team down to the assistant managers and team managers ensures a collaborative and dynamic approach towards daily cafe operations.

Flynn Group itself is a well-established franchise operator founded by Greg Flynn in 1999. It has since become the largest franchise operator worldwide, owning and managing an impressive portfolio of iconic brands including Applebee’s, Arby’s, Panera Bread, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Wendy’s, and Planet Fitness. Flynn Group’s mission centers around becoming the premier operator of each brand by living its core values: Care Genuinely for People, Play like a Champion, and Win as One. The culture of Flynn Panera embodies these principles, emphasizing genuine care for guests and employees, championing excellence in service and operational standards, and fostering a unified, winning team environment.

Panera Bread cafes under Flynn Group are known for their upscale and friendly atmosphere, serving specialty bakery items, artisan breads, made-to-order soups, salads, sandwiches, and espresso beverages. Unlike many other quick-service restaurants, Flynn Panera promotes a clean, grease-free environment—no fryers and no late-night shifts—making it an attractive workplace for those who prefer early hours and a healthy work setting. Leaders and team members are expected to bring enthusiasm, energy, and a strong commitment to exceptional customer service, ensuring every guest has a welcoming and enjoyable experience.

The role of a Retail Team Member at Flynn Panera involves delivering excellent customer service, ensuring that each guest’s needs are met promptly, accurately, and with a friendly smile. Team members maintain a clean and fast-paced cafe environment, contributing to the overall success and reputation of the brand. Beyond customer interaction, this position requires physical stamina to stand and move efficiently for extended periods and the ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds. With competitive pay starting at $12.00 per hour, the position offers a range of benefits including health insurance, dental and vision coverage, paid time off, employee discounts, and flexible scheduling options.

Flynn Panera is committed to creating an inclusive workplace that supports the growth and well-being of its employees. The company provides comprehensive training and career growth opportunities, ensuring team members can thrive and advance within the organization. Whether seeking full-time or part-time work, employees are welcomed into a culture that values diversity and is dedicated to equal opportunity employment. If you are a motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast, friendly cafe environment and takes pride in being part of a dedicated team, Flynn Panera is an ideal employer to help you build a rewarding career.
