Job Description
Flynn Group entered the Panera system in 2015 with the acquisition of 47 cafes and has since become the second largest Panera franchisee in the world. Rapidly growing, Flynn Panera focuses on building new stores and acquiring other franchise operators to expand its reach. Flynn Panera operates under a decentralized business model, with geographic areas led by Market Leaders overseeing Area Directors, General Managers, Assistant Managers, and Team Managers. This structure ensures strong leadership and operational excellence across all cafes.
Flynn Panera is a franchisee of Panera Bread, a well-known bakery-cafe chain recognized for artisan breads, quality soups, salads, and sandwiches served in an upscale, friendly environment. The cafes pride themselves on a grease and alcohol-free workplace, creating a clean, welcoming atmosphere for both associates and customers. Managers at Flynn Panera are responsible for supervising up to 75 staff members and delivering a high-quality service experience.
As a Manager at Panera Bread, you will play a pivotal role in providing outstanding leadership and fostering a passionate team environment. You will be tasked with coaching, counseling, and inspiring your team to ensure a profitable and exceptional customer experience. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, food quality, safety, and facility management is critical to success in this position. The work environment is fast-paced and rewarding, focusing on warmth, genuine care for people, and professional growth.
The role requires experienced restaurant professionals with a steady, stable employment history, strong attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills. The Manager will handle strategic planning, shift organization, and day-to-day management to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities span ordering and scheduling, labor management, marketing, facilities upkeep, bakery operations, and catering. As the primary communicator between associates and management, you will retain and develop team members, control budgets, coordinate operations during shifts, engage with customers, and foster a fun, authentic work culture.
Educationally, candidates should ideally have 2-3 years of hospitality management experience and a degree or equivalent in hospitality or restaurant management. Food management certifications are a plus. Flynn Panera values a "Run it Like You Own It" mentality, encouraging managers to take initiative and be accountable.
Employees enjoy competitive wages, profit sharing (varies by market), meal discounts, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance available shortly after starting. A 401(k) plan with company matching, paid vacation, and development opportunities further support career growth and work-life balance.
Flynn Group champions diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity employment. The company is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to ensure a supportive application and work process. Flynn Panera offers an empowering environment where managers can thrive, lead effectively, and be part of a premier team dedicated to excellence in the restaurant industry. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected and rapidly expanding brand with a strong culture of care, competitiveness, and teamwork.
