Job Description

Flynn Group is a prominent franchise operator that entered the Panera Bread system in 2015 with the acquisition of 47 cafes. Since then, the company has experienced remarkable growth, more than tripling in size to become the second largest Panera franchisee in the world. Flynn Group continues to expand through building new stores and acquiring other franchise operators, solidifying its position as a leading entity in the foodservice industry. The Flynn Panera division operates under a decentralized business model where each geographic area is managed by a Market Leader, with Area Directors overseeing multiple units, and General Managers managing individual cafes. Assistant Managers and Team Managers assist with day-to-day operations, creating a robust leadership structure aimed at delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Flynn Group was founded in 1999 by Greg Flynn and has grown to become the largest franchise operator worldwide, managing a diverse portfolio of iconic restaurant brands including Applebee's, Arby's, Panera Bread, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Wendy's, and Planet Fitness. The company prides itself on its core values: Care Genuinely for People, Play like a Champion, and Win as One, which guide its operational and cultural approach.

The role available is for a full-time Manager at one of Flynn Panera's growing Panera Bread cafes. Panera Bread cafes are upscale, friendly environments known for artisan baked breads, pastries, made-to-order soups, salads, sandwiches, and specialty espresso beverages. Notably, the cafes offer a unique workplace atmosphere with no fryers and no late nights, fostering a grease and alcohol-free environment that promotes associate well-being. This managerial position requires leadership skills to supervise up to 75 staff members, ensuring outstanding service quality and operational excellence.

Managers at Flynn Panera are responsible for providing inspirational leadership, coaching, and mentoring team members, fostering a profitable business environment, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, food safety, and facility maintenance. The company emphasizes professionalism and the embodiment of its values, seeking candidates with a stable employment history, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills. The role offers competitive wages, profit sharing, meal discounts, comprehensive medical benefits including dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company matching, paid vacation, and development opportunities.

This position requires strategic planning, labor and budget management, marketing coordination, and the ability to drive restaurant sales and profitability. Candidates should expect to engage deeply with team development, customer engagement, and operational problem-solving in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. Flynn Panera is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, offering reasonable accommodations during the application process. The work is performed in person, with shifts ranging from 8 to 10 hours during mornings, evenings, and day shifts.
