Job Description
Flynn Group is a leading franchise operator in the restaurant industry, having entered the Panera Bread system in 2015 by acquiring 47 cafes. Since that initial expansion, Flynn Group has experienced remarkable growth, more than tripling in size to become the second largest Panera franchisee worldwide. The company continues to expand through building new stores and acquiring other franchise operators, reflecting its strong position and commitment to excellence within the Panera Bread brand. Flynn Panera operates with a decentralized business model, which empowers local market leadership and offers an engaging and supportive environment for its employees.
Flynn Panera is part of the broader Flynn Group portfolio, which has memberships in several iconic brands such as Applebee’s, Arby’s, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Wendy’s, and Planet Fitness. Founded by Greg Flynn in 1999, Flynn Group has grown to become the largest franchise operator globally, driven by a mission to be the premier operator in each of its brand categories. The company is guided by core values emphasizing genuine care for people, a champion’s mindset, and a team-oriented approach to success.
The position of Manager at Flynn Panera is a dynamic and fulfilling leadership role within the upscale Panera Bread cafe environment. These cafes are known for their artisan breads, specialty espresso beverages, and made-to-order soups, salads, and sandwiches. Flynn Panera differentiates itself from many quick-service restaurants with its grease-free and alcohol-free environment, which also means no fryers and no late-night shifts. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy morning shifts and managing a friendly, engaging workplace.
As a Manager, you will oversee daily operations for a bustling Panera Bread cafe, leading teams of up to 75 associates to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Your leadership will be critical in creating a profitable, welcoming, and efficient operation. You should possess a passion for the restaurant industry and be dedicated to inspiring, coaching, and developing your team members. Managing restaurant cleanliness, sanitation, food quality and safety, and facility upkeep will be essential to your role, ensuring the cafe consistently meets or exceeds brand standards.
You will be entrusted with responsibility across a broad spectrum of business functions, including ordering, scheduling, labor management, marketing, bakery operations, and catering services. Strategic planning and analytical skills are important as you monitor and plan for sales and profitability to drive sustained business success. As the primary link between corporate management and your associates, you will foster positive communication, retention, and team growth. Establishing high morale, encouraging authentic interactions, and maintaining a fun yet productive workplace culture are key objectives.
Additionally, Flynn Panera values professional development and ethical business practices. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic with a "Run it Like you Own It Mentality" and a steady, stable employment history within hospitality management. This full-time role offers competitive hourly wages in the range of $23.50 to $25.00 per hour, plus profit sharing, overtime pay, and a robust benefits package. Physical demands include the ability to stand for extended periods, safely lift up to 50 pounds, and maintain dexterity required for food service operations.
Joining Flynn Panera means becoming part of a diverse and inclusive organization that values its employees and strives to provide excellence in both food quality and customer experience. The company is committed to equal employment opportunities and offers reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities. If you are passionate about restaurant management and looking for an opportunity to grow in a supportive environment, Flynn Panera invites you to apply and contribute to its ongoing success.
