Job Description

Flynn Panera is a leading franchisee of Panera Bread, one of the most recognizable names in the bakery-cafe industry. Established in 2015 through the acquisition of 47 cafes, Flynn Group has since expanded rapidly and is now the second largest Panera franchisee in the world. The Flynn Group, founded in 1999 by Greg Flynn, is a diversified restaurant operator managing multiple premier brands including Applebee's, Arby's, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Wendy's, Planet Fitness, and Panera Bread. The company's mission is to be a premier operator across all these brands by upholding core values such as genuine care for people, champion-level performance, and unity through teamwork.

Flynn Panera operates on a decentralized business model, with each geographic area led by a Market Leader, supported by Area Directors who manage multiple cafe units. General Managers oversee day-to-day operations at each cafe, supported by Assistant Managers and Team Managers who handle departmental management and assist with overall operations. The organization prides itself on hiring experienced and passionate leaders with a solid background in the food and beverage industry and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service and quality.

The Panera Bread cafes under Flynn Panera are upscale yet approachable, featuring artisan baked breads and pastries alongside made-to-order soups, salads, sandwiches, and specialty espresso beverages. The cafes maintain a unique atmosphere that is free of fryers and alcohol, providing a clean, grease-free, and family-friendly environment. These respectful and professional workplaces aim to attract managers who are morning people and ready to lead teams with energy and enthusiasm.

This role offers a full-time opportunity to join a rapidly growing brand with competitive compensation ranging from $23.50 to $27.00 per hour. The position requires 45 hours per week, including 5 hours at an overtime rate of 1.5 times base pay. In addition to hourly wages, managers are eligible for monthly profit sharing, comprehensive benefits, and robust development programs. This ensures a rewarding career path for candidates ready to engage with a fast-paced, high-demand, and fulfilling management role.

The Assistant Manager position is a leadership role with responsibility for supervising up to 75 staff members to deliver excellent customer service and operational success. The role requires a combination of strategic planning, team development, cost control, and hands-on management of food service and cafe operations. Managers are expected to foster a positive and fun work environment that encourages associates to be their authentic selves while maintaining productivity and customer satisfaction. The manager will serve as a primary contact between staff and the leadership team and uphold safety, cleanliness, and quality standards consistently.

Overall, Flynn Panera offers a well-established yet dynamic work culture that values experience, professionalism, ethical business practices, and a passion for food and beverage service. This role is ideal for candidates with at least three years of food and beverage management experience who are eager to lead a team, meet profitability goals, and thrive in a growth-oriented franchise environment.
