Job Description

Flynn Group is a well-established and rapidly growing restaurant franchise operator known for its diverse portfolio of iconic brands including Panera Bread, Applebee's, Arby's, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Wendy's, and Planet Fitness. Founded in 1999 by Greg Flynn, the company has grown to become the largest franchise operator globally, with a strong commitment to operational excellence and employee development. Flynn Group entered the Panera Bread system in 2015 through the acquisition of 47 cafes and has since expanded to become the second largest Panera Bread franchisee worldwide. The company operates with a decentralized business model, empowering local Market Leaders, Area Directors, General Managers, and Assistant Managers to effectively manage cafe operations and deliver outstanding customer experiences.

Flynn Panera cafes are known for their upscale, friendly atmosphere serving artisan breads, specialty espresso beverages, and made-to-order soups, salads, and sandwiches in a grease-free and alcohol-free environment. The company emphasizes a people-focused culture guided by core values such as Caring Genuinely for People, Playing like a Champion, and Winning as One. These values underpin their commitment to creating a welcoming workplace where employees feel valued and guests enjoy high-quality food and service.

The role of Assistant Manager at Flynn Panera offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-growing cafe organization. This full-time position requires a minimum commitment of 45 hours per week, including 5 hours of overtime paid at 1.5 times the base rate. The hourly compensation ranges from $23.50 to $26.00 plus monthly profit sharing. Assistant Managers are a critical part of the cafe leadership team, reporting to General Managers and supporting the overall management of daily operations. This position involves supervising up to 75 staff members, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food quality, and safety, while fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of management experience in the food and beverage industry and a passion for hospitality. Responsibilities include coaching and mentoring team members, managing budgets and labor costs, coordinating operation during shifts, ensuring customer satisfaction through direct interaction, and upholding company standards and policies. The role demands excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Flynn Panera is committed to career development, offering opportunities for growth along with competitive wages, profit sharing, medical benefits, and paid time off.

Assistant Managers at Flynn Panera enjoy working in a fast-paced yet rewarding environment that values authenticity and teamwork. The company provides robust support for employee success through continuous training and development programs, fostering a culture that encourages employees to have fun and be their authentic selves while delivering exceptional service. With a focus on operational excellence and community care, this position offers a meaningful career path within one of the leading franchise organizations in the restaurant industry based on quality, service, and growth.
