It is a piece rate position, which means the more pallets you repair, the more money you earn, starting with an hourly pay of $16.00 per hour plus additional earnings based on productivity. This role operates on the first shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 2:30pm, and is located at 7507 Texas 331 Spur, Lubbock, TX 79404.

As a Pallet Repairer, you will play a direct role in fulfilling customer needs by ensuring that pallets are assembled properly and safely. You will work closely with the saw shop, receiving wood and piecing it together with a nail gun along predetermined stringers. Finished products need to be neatly stacked by hand so forklift operators can handle them efficiently. Attention to safety is paramount to protect yourself and colleagues, with adherence to company procedures and the use of necessary personal protective equipment such as eye protection, ear protection, and safety shoes. The job entails working in various environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and airborne particulates.

Additionally, the role demands physical stamina as lifting pallets weighing around 50 to 75 pounds regularly is required. The job involves a variety of body movements including bending, stooping, walking, turning, and standing for long shifts. Good vision, including the ability to distinguish colors and see at different distances, is important for performing tasks effectively.
