The role of Painter II at Rosen Hotels & Resorts is an essential position within the property maintenance team, tasked with ensuring that all interior and exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings and other structures are aesthetically pleasing and well-protected. This full-time position involves applying various finishes such as paint, varnish, stain, enamel, and lacquer to designated surfaces according to specific requirements. The Painter II will expertly prepare surfaces by sanding, filling cracks, and repairing imperfections before applying the proper coatings. This role also includes specialized tasks such as wall and ceiling texturing, popcorn ceiling application, drywall installation, and the use of epoxy, acrylic, and silicone-based paints and stains.
In addition to technical painting skills, the Painter II is expected to maintain a clean and safe working environment by following all safety protocols, handling chemicals responsibly, and ensuring all painting tools and equipment are kept in optimal condition. This position requires consistent physical activity, including standing, walking, and climbing ladders, often for extended periods. The individual will work closely with team members and interact with guests, employees, and vendors, requiring a friendly and service-oriented approach aligned with company standards.

Job Requirements
- Minimum one year of related painting experience required
- Strong detail oriented skills required
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and climb ladders
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs infrequently
- Must be able to legally work in the USA

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Duties
- Apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to designated surfaces according to specifications
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, filling cracks, and repairing imperfections
- Select and mix the appropriate paint or finish for each job
- Perform wall and ceiling texturing
- Apply ceiling popcorn and install drywall
- Mix and apply epoxy, acrylic, silicone paints, and stain
- Use pressure washer during projects
- Ensure that all painting tools and equipment are clean and in good working condition
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, following safety guidelines and procedures
- Handle paint, chemicals, and fumes safely and responsibly
- Approach all encounters with guests, employees, and vendors in a friendly and service-oriented manner
- Comply with the company’s drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy
- Perform all other duties as assigned
