The company values team members’ professional development, offering career advancement opportunities alongside competitive compensation. Employees benefit from a robust package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and disability insurance paid by the company, and a 401(k) plan with company match to support long-term financial security. Work schedules are designed to promote work-life balance, with typical weekday hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekends off, fostering both productivity and well-being.
The role of the Paint/Color Mixer at PSE Group is a vital position responsible for ensuring accurate color matching and mixing of paints and specialty coatings that cater to automotive, commercial, and industrial clients. This role demands a detail-oriented individual with a keen eye for color precision who can expertly prepare paint orders using both standard and custom formulas. The Paint/Color Mixer is integral to maintaining quality control through documentation of mixing formulas and equipment calibration. This position is not only technical but also customer-facing, requiring excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities include mixing topcoat colors for industries such as aerospace, managing meticulous documentation to uphold quality standards, and maintaining a clean and well-organized workspace. The ideal candidate must exhibit professionalism and accuracy in all paint preparation activities to minimize mis-tints and ensure customer satisfaction. Furthermore, the Paint/Color Mixer assists other store personnel within the team, supports inventory activities, and adheres to compliance standards regarding the disposal of waste materials.
Physically, this role requires the ability to lift and carry moderate weights regularly and engage in various physical activities including standing, walking, bending, climbing, and kneeling. The candidate must be capable of perceiving color differences accurately and handling paint materials safely. Additionally, operation of motor vehicles, including lift trucks and hand trucks, is required, with the expectation that the employee holds the necessary licenses to operate these vehicles legally and safely.
Training is provided on-the-job to align the employee’s performance with PSE Group’s quality standards. The company seeks candidates willing to work scheduled hours consistently and able to maintain an acceptable driving record as per state regulations. While experience in paint mixing is advantageous, PSE Group also values a willingness to learn and grow within the role. Ultimately, this position offers a rewarding opportunity to develop specialized skills in a stable and thriving industry, supported by the reputable and resource-rich environment of the PSE Group.
