PAGU is a Michelin awarded Spanish Japanese tapas restaurant owned and led by James Beard Semifinalist Chef Tracy Chang. Located strategically in Cambridge's innovation hub between Central Square and MIT, PAGU serves dinner seven days a week, including takeout and patio dining options. The restaurant is renowned for its innovative menu that emphasizes local ingredients and celebrates the harmonious blend of Japanese and Spanish culinary techniques and flavors. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or hospitality
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • availability to work evenings and weekends
  • proof of full COVID-19 vaccination
  • ability to pass temperature checks and wear masks as required
  • excellent customer service skills

Job Qualifications

  • prior service experience preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • knowledge of Japanese and Spanish cuisine a plus
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • team player with attention to detail
  • passion for hospitality and guest service
  • basic math skills for handling transactions

Job Duties

  • execute daily service to guests with professionalism and attentiveness
  • manage guest orders and communicate clearly with kitchen staff
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas
  • collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations
  • provide detailed knowledge of menu items including ingredients and preparation
  • handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly
  • assist in setup and closing tasks for service shifts
