The Packaging Line Tech role at Tilray Brands is a vital entry-level position within the production and packaging department. Reporting directly to the Assistant Operations Manager and working alongside the Packaging Supervisor and Shift Leads, this position plays a key role in ensuring that the packaging process for Tilray's craft beer products runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. The Packaging Team is responsible for the canning, bottling, kegging, and repacking of beer products, making sure they are ready for distribution and sale. This role represents the foundational level in the packaging career ladder within a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
Candidates for this position should possess a genuine passion for craft beer production and packaging, exhibit exceptional motivation, and demonstrate the physical stamina required for a demanding work environment. The role involves physically intensive tasks including lifting heavy materials, operating various packaging machinery, performing regular cleaning duties, and adhering to stringent safety and quality standards set forth by the company. The Packaging Line Tech is expected to complete safety and quality trainings, strictly follow Standard Operating Procedures, and participate actively in equipment audits and troubleshooting. Flexibility in work hours is essential, as shifts may cover days, afternoons, midnights, weekends, and holidays to meet the operational demands of Tilray's production schedules.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Prior experience in a packaging environment preferred
- Ability to carry/lift 50-165lbs and work safely in loud or hot conditions
- Must be able to crouch, bend, lift, stoop and reach
- Ability to work on feet for 8 hours or more
- Must tolerate hot, wet, and loud environments
- Ability to work around steam, electricity, chemicals, and solvents
- Flexible to work day, afternoon and midnight shifts including weekends and holidays
- Mechanical background preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Prior experience in a packaging environment preferred
- Ability to operate packaging machinery
- Basic mechanical skills preferred
- Strong attention to safety and quality standards
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends
- Physical capability to lift heavy loads and perform manual labor
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols
Job Duties
- Adhere to safety standards set by Breckenridge Brewery
- Complete 100% of required safety trainings
- Report safety concerns
- Adhere to quality standards as communicated during training
- Report quality concerns
- Understand all types of beer packaging
- Operate packaging equipment according to Machine Operations Matrix
- Assist in machine changeovers
- Complete audits for packaging machines
- Set up machines and verify product use
- Perform 30-minute audits during runs
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment
- Report issues to supervisors or managers
- Clean general facilities and operation areas
- Complete paperwork for cleaning
- Conduct end of run counts and track materials
- Understand chemicals used and PPE requirements
- Read and follow Standard Operating Procedures
- Alert management to potential quality or safety issues
- Perform additional duties as assigned
