Job Description

Constellation Brands is a leading beverage alcohol company known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and operational excellence. With a strong presence in the beer, wine, and spirits markets, Constellation Brands operates multiple breweries across key locations including Nava, Obregón, and Veracruz. The company prides itself on fostering a collaborative work environment that promotes professional growth and sustainability. The role of Subject Matter Expert (SME) Packaging Line Control is an essential position within the company's operations and production sector, located in San Antonio, Texas, with additional responsibilities that may require travel to other brewery sites in the US and Mexico.

The Subject Matter Expert (SME) Packaging Line Control will serve as the primary technical authority for the design, optimization, and operational excellence of packaging lines involving bottles, cans, and kegs. This position demands a deep understanding of the engineering principles and control systems that govern high-speed packaging lines to ensure they operate efficiently, safely, and meet the highest quality standards. The role is designed to optimize manufacturing overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) while reducing downtime, improving maintenance procedures, and ensuring strict compliance with safety and quality protocols.

In this full-time role, the SME will lead technical support initiatives, equipment specification and commissioning, and continuous improvement efforts by collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams. With a salary range between $121,600 and $194,200, the compensation reflects various factors including experience, skills, education, and geographic location. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan.

This role is vital in maintaining operational excellence by executing line balance optimization, troubleshooting line control and mechanical conveying issues, and developing preventive and predictive maintenance programs. The SME will also train and mentor operations and maintenance staff, support new product development, and provide technical insights for project and financial planning. The requirement to stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies further enhances the strategic value contributed by this expert.

Given the physical nature of the work environment, the role may involve exposure to heat, noise, humidity, and necessitates the use of personal protective equipment as well as adherence to hygiene and safety protocols. The candidate must possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and lead a team effectively. The position requires Spanish-English bilingual capability as highly desired, with travel across the US and Mexico expected. Overall, this role offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a dedicated professional aiming to make a significant impact in the beverage manufacturing industry.
