Fresh Dining Concepts and GSP Cakes are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated District Manager to oversee and enhance the performance of several restaurant locations within a specific geographical area. This role is critical in driving sales, ensuring compliance with operational standards and legal mandates, and fostering a superior customer experience. The District Manager acts as a key leader who supports the management teams across multiple sites, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities that align with the company’s objectives. By leveraging strong leadership and analytical skills, the District Manager ensures all units meet or exceed performance goals related to sales, costs, guest satisfaction, safety, and employee engagement.
A typical workday for the District Manager involves frequent visits to restaurants, both scheduled and surprise, to monitor and assess various operational aspects. This includes evaluating facility conditions, staff professionalism and appearance, food quality and safety protocols, inventory control, labor management, employee training, and customer relations. They are also responsible for enforcing compliance with the company’s Operations Manual, federal, state, and local regulations, and internal policies. A significant part of the role involves analyzing financial reports such as sales, profit, and budget statements to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for growth. Collaboration with Store Managers to develop actionable plans for increased efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction is an ongoing priority.
The District Manager exercises discretion and responsiveness to handle the changing demands of the business. This also includes resolving escalated guest and employee complaints, managing personnel issues beyond the scope of lower-level management, investigating security and cash handling concerns, and representing the company during inspections by regulatory bodies. Succession planning and talent development embedded within the role empower the District Manager to prepare high-potential General Managers for career advancement and support the growth of Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders, and frontline employees through targeted coaching and training initiatives.
Effective communication and team-building skills are paramount, as the District Manager promotes information sharing, encourages employee feedback, conducts regular team meetings, and fosters a collaborative and motivated work environment. They also lead the implementation of new products, training programs, and operational improvements, in addition to overseeing new restaurant openings and remodels within their territory. Participation in the preparation of the annual operating budget adds a strategic financial dimension to their responsibilities, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to achieve business objectives.
This position is ideal for an experienced professional with a track record of success in quick-service restaurant management or general management roles who is ready to take on a challenging yet rewarding leadership opportunity within well-known and respected brands. The role demands excellent organizational skills, adaptability to change, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to work varied schedules including weekends. The District Manager position offers an exciting chance to help shape the growth and success of Fresh Dining Concepts and GSP Cakes while advancing their own career in the restaurant management industry.Show Less
