Job Requirements

  • must be eligible to work in the United States
  • previous cold-line experience is a bonus
  • able to lift and handle products up to 60 pounds
  • bilateral fine manipulation of hands
  • frequent walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, lifting, manual dexterity
  • ability to work on uneven outdoor surfaces occasionally
  • occasional stair climbing
  • available to work varied schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • frequent hand-washing
  • ability to work in extreme temperature conditions indoors and outdoors

Job Qualifications

  • previous experience as a line cook in a similar property
  • ability to communicate in English orally and in writing
  • understand verbal directions and written menus, recipes, labels, and safety signage
  • ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations during busy periods
  • experience with food safety standards and kitchen equipment usage

Job Duties

  • Provide fast, accurate shucking of oysters
  • prepare dessert and raw bar items
  • assist kitchen manager and staff with food preparation
  • rotate oysters daily, oldest on top
  • safely operate kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, dishwashers, slicers, steamers, mixers, and chef's knives
  • maintain food safety, workstation cleanliness, and adhere to sanitation standards
  • report broken equipment or unsafe/unsanitary conditions
